John Sullivan (director, Center for Women in Transition), Marci Dodds, Bridget Shanahan (WICD, Channel 15) at Food Check Out Day, 2009. Marci and Bridget gathered over $1300 of groceries in five minutes. The team from Urbana, Heather Sullivan and Jennifer Ketchmark collected over $900. All the groceries went to the Center for Women in Transition. Jerrys IGA hosted the event and donated all the food - a genuine act of kindness. The $2000 collected this year was more than double what was collected last year.
